STEM Specialist Teacher

Established since 2007 and currently based in Kota Damansara (Selangor), the Itqan Holistic School is a fast-growing faith-based school that offers an international academic curriculum, with students in the academic levels of preschool, primary and secondary. The organisation is part of the SimplyIslam Education Group and is seeking a candidate to fulfill the role of the STEM Specialist Teacher. The candidate will be the school’s STEM champion and will be responsible for the development and growth of the school’s STEM programs and initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and implement curriculum-time STEM programs for students.
• Design and implement STEM appreciation programs for all teachers.
• Teach and conduct STEM and technology classes like robotics, coding, etc.
• Work closely with the Science department and mentor the department teachers in STEM.
• Maintain STEM learning resources and teaching aids.
• Maintain teaching records and student progress reports as required.
• Organise and conduct STEM enrichment classes, workshops, camps and competitions.

Requirements

• University Degree in fields related to STEM, Science, Robotics or Computing.
• Resourceful, meticulous and able to multi-task in a dynamic working environment.
• A team player, with a positive work attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to excel under minimum supervision.
• Minimum 1-year teaching experience.
